Hugo Azcarate

Hugo Azcarate is a Senior Manager and Vice President with EA RESIG, bringing more than 20 years of experience providing fund administration and accounting services to alternative investment managers. He specializes in supporting private equity real estate funds, REITs, and other real estate investment structures.

Hugo manages key client engagements and oversees the delivery of fund accounting and financial reporting services, including investor allocations, capital activity, and the review of complex transactions. He supervises accounting teams responsible for preparing financial statements and works closely with clients, auditors, and internal specialists to address technical accounting matters and ensure the timely and accurate delivery of reporting.

Prior to joining the firm, Hugo held leadership roles at global financial services and fund administration organizations where he managed portfolio accounting teams supporting hedge funds, private equity funds, real estate funds, and registered investment companies. His experience also includes driving operational improvements through automation initiatives, workflow optimization, and process standardization to enhance reporting accuracy and overall service delivery.
